I started my career as a nursery practitioner in 2004. Over the next decade I worked my way through every role in early years - room leader, deputy manager, nursery manager, area manager for a group of six settings - before spending five years as an Ofsted inspector.
I have experience of monitoring quality in a large franchise, managing a team starting with 25 nurseries to 60 nurseries. I keep up to date with all current changes to legislation.
I have excellent feedback from my work, indicating my friendly and professional approach with teams. Many settings I have worked with have raised their quality to Exceptional, and those facing urgent improvement judgements or suspensions have raised their standards.
I have delivered a large variety of training sessions and high-quality visits, with ongoing monthly support for lots of settings. I have shared my experience working with children with SEN both from a family, personal and professional experience, and I support with the EHCP. I am familiar with all the new nursery funding across settings.

Every child deserves a brilliant key person.
The quality of the adult-child relationship is the single biggest predictor of outcomes in the early years. Everything I do starts from there.
Good practice should be visible, not hidden.
If your team is doing incredible work but your documentation doesn't show it, that's a problem I can fix. Inspectors can only judge what they can see.
Development is a partnership, not an audit.
I work alongside teams, not above them. Sustainable improvement comes from building confidence, not creating dependency.
